had career awareness talks today. first one was by mr teo, a friend of our principal, and a psychologist (!). i think he's speech was the best. he was veryyy inspiring and very real. he motivated me so much from his stories how he finally found and persued his dream. and he's accomplished soooo many things la.



he also got many talents, martial arts being one them. he told us how crime rates involving rapes are increasing, so he showed us a way rapists attack you. nadiah volunteered. he aked her a random qn which nad's supposed to answer, then "attacked" when she's not paying attention by covering her mouth and pushed her backwards with his knee on her neck. it was really freaky, literally one second later she was gone. everyone suddenly sat up straighter to see if she was ok and everyone in the hall gasped at exactly the same time. i didn't expect it at all, that's why it was kinda cool..

then i attended psychology and finance & business talks. both quite boring. i was honestly disappointed. unlike mr teo who sort of prepared us and told us what to expect in the working world, the psychology and F&B talks were talking about tertiary courses. both speakers came from temasek poly so they were annoyingly promoting their respective course and their school. i was really disgruntled. i mean, it's career talk, looking into the farrr future, not next year. hmph.
